When The Levee Breaks

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Every now and again we get a pretty good rain storm here. Well, last week we got about 24 hours of rain. Just about everything that held water was overflowing and things that weren’t supposed to hold water, like our reception office were also getting filled up. As I was moving the cups all around on my desk to catch the falling water I found it very amusing when Led Zepplin’s, “When The Levee Breaks” started playing on my computer.

That’s a full lake!

Take a look at some of the first photos from my new Nikon D50 digital SLR that my dad got me for Christmas. I got some good shots of the wildebeest and a jumply couple week old horse Suprisingly, I didn’t have to go very far to get these pictures. I took them from my back porch.

Since I’ve been back in South Africa I’m having a little trouble getting used to the time difference. For the last 2 days I’ve gone to bed around 4 AM and have woken up around 3 PM. Yes, it does feel really refreshing to sleep almost 12 hours a night and I did get to watch some of the NFL playoffs live in the middle of the night. Unfortunatly, both the Bucs and Jags couldn’t pull out a win.

Now when work starts at 8:30 on Monday I’m going to be in big trouble.
