Sorry for the lack of postings, but I’ve been pretty busy here. It didn’t help that our high speed internet got shut down last week. I won’t go into details other than saying that we had everything working great including an internet phone that allowed us to call the states for free right before the internet went bye-bye. We’re not sure when or if we’ll get it back anything soon.

It’s outreach season here at Thrive Africa so there are a bunch of teams from America that will be staying on the property over the next month. Right now we’ve got a group from Teen Mania made up of about 85 high school’s. Needless to say, it gets a little loud at night.

That’s about it for now. I’ve got so save some of the good stuff for my next newsletter. (Hint of things to come - Dave keeps his reputation alive as the guy who doesn’t know the difference between 110 and 220 power.)

Just wanted to let everyone know Tom and I have arrived safely in South Africa. If you want to get out of the heat in Florida, just hope on a plane to South Africa cause it’s pretty chilly here. Last night had to be in the 30’s. Well, it was a long 22 hours on a plane, but thanks to on-demand movies in the headrests and sleeping pills we managed.

During our first day here we’ve been pretty successfull at playing with the new internet and when I say we I mean Tom Rossi. We got a new wireless router in place and our Vonage phone is working pretty good. Free calls to the states! Chris, why didn’t you answer your phone at 8 AM? Anyway, we’re here safe and sound and freezing our butts off.

It’s 1 AM on Thursday and I just finished packing everything I’m taking to Africa. All the bins are packed TIGHT and zip tied shut. I used my last free Chick-fil-a combo coupon today, man $266 worth of fast food can go fast. I also took my car down to Orlando where it will be staying for a while. Well, I’m getting pretty tired and I have 20 hours on a plane tomorrow, but just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.
